Community and rural business funding webinars (2/2)

Looking for funding to support your community or rural business? Join one of our free webinars organised by Stratford on Avon District Council and Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action.
Join our webinar on Thursday 21 March 2024, 08:30-10:00.
Reserve your place on Eventbrite.
You will be hearing about the other business support and skills programmes funded, how much has been committed and what they will deliver so you can help signpost residents and businesses to these programmes. Six business support programmes which ran in Year 2 (2023-2024) are being extended for another year and for the first time, funding is being utilised to support the skills agenda.
The webinar will cover the following:
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund Year 3
The fund is part of a suite of funding which begins to replace the previous European Structural Funds and aims to empower local lead authorities to identify opportunities to build pride in place, improve the places in which people live and support individuals and businesses to thrive.
Rural England Prosperity Fund Year 2
Provides small scale capital funding specifically in support of new and existing rural businesses to develop new products and facilities that will be of wider benefit to the local economy; this includes farm businesses looking to diversify income streams. Also, new and improved community infrastructure, providing essential community services and assets for local people and businesses to benefit the local circular economy, including the low carbon agenda and broadband connectivity.
The call for projects and application window is intended to open on Monday 11 March and close on Tuesday 9 April at noon.
Stratford District Council aim to post updated guidelines and criteria for the funds before the webinar. This will clarify what interventions have been chosen and what funds are allocated to each.
During the webinar, we will outline the criteria for each fund, clarify the application process, guide you towards additional help and support and answer any questions you may have.
A Zoom link will be sent out a few days before the event.
